Tab 400 build quality

So any of those who have seen my posts will know I have made a few improvements to this, my first US camping trailer.
I did a lot of research for a well built trailer, but the final step was seeing one I fell in love right away.
Since using my trailer for almost a year thro all kinds of weather, I know I made the right choice.
There is only my dog Lizzie and I, so I can handle the smallness.
The trailer had to have good bottom clearance to deal with my sloped driveway. It also had to be less than 5,000 lbs fully loaded and not longer than 20feet total. Since I share my short driveway with my Tundra pickup that's the max length I have. Not storing it elsewhere was preferable to me.
The quality components used in the trailer have meant that when I needed advice to resolve s problem or just to understand it, there are helpful US websites and people to talk to. Alde heating and Frioli sleep systems were particularly helpful. Any upgrades or additions I chose parts from dealers who know what they are talking about. For the new battery charging system I chose Best Rv and Truck supply.
When running out cables and adding to the Alde system, I have been impressed with the build and attention to detail where cables are run in conduits and anchored neatly, pipework is secured. All drawers have working latches ,(one of the drawer latches broke and were easily available from Amazon).
The layout of the trailer is good, more food prep space than I imagined.
The water tank I thought was too small actually is not so bad. One tip - don't bring salad for freinds and wash it in the sink - that really ate the water lol.
I use the microwave more than I should and I bought a little electric toaster. I have not boondocked more than a long weekend yet but intend to do more. With the AC soft start, my Honda 2800 easily runs the trailer if I need to.
I modified the battery charging system to charge my battery faster from shore power and added a charger to allow the Tundra to better charge the on board batteries.
I have 190W factory solar and have fitted a waterproof socket for when I buy an external 200W solar suitcase later this year.
So my choice of 2019 tab 400 has been great for me and I'll get a lot more years out of it.
Just a shout-out to my dealer Miller Trailer Sales - they are awesome and very knowledgeable, camping in a tab too. They were great in helping me chose the right accessories when I bought it.
So expect more posts this year..have a great year Fellow tabbers.
