Mosquito penetration

Currently in buggy Minnesota and finding that the bloodsuckers are getting into my cabin.
Do they get in via the small gaps created by the “accordion fold” of the screening material used in the sliding door and windows?
If so, can someone suggest a caulking or other product to better seal it, something other than Duct Tape?

Or maybe the community has discovered that this cabin invasion/penetration is occurring elsewhere?

In short, yes.You didn't note what year your trailer is, but earlier models did not have insect brush (a.k.a., bug fuzz) in the window tracks. There also may be sizable gaps between the screen frames and the camper walls--particularly with the curved front window.Once I mitigated these issues on my 2015 the bug infiltration problem was greatly reduced!2015 T@B Max S (320)

Thanks for reply! I bought mine “new” and think it’s an ‘18.
Is the so-called Buzz fuzz only available from nuCamp or is it a product that’s available at other RV dealers And/or hardware stores? It goes around the surface where the pleated screens touch the frame?
has anyone done a you tube how-to video? -
Here is a whole thread about it. Some easy instructions a little down in the thread, too.I bought my "fuzz" from AmazonI also spray a bit of Pryethin around the edges of the shade. You can also find various "bug vacuums" that help scoop them up, especially the gnats, etc. Some will always get in.....

I thought the fuzz had been incorporated by nuCamp by 2018, but it sounds like maybe not.nuCamp sent me a retrofit kit for my 2015, but the stuff is available from other sources.Compressible foam weatherstrip is good for filling gaps under screen frames--any decent hardware store will have a variety.2015 T@B Max S (320)

installed this afternoon.
wis me luck tonight with Minnesota State Bird -
@deuce we have a 2018 CS-S that didn’t come with the bug fuzz. We got eaten alive at Forestville Mystery cave our first trip. After installing the fuzz and spraying the screens with pyrethrin, we were laughing at the mosquitoes gathered outside when we were at Cass Lake. Makes a huge difference.Enjoy laughing at that state bird.2018 T@B CS-S Towed by 2015 Subaru Outback 2.5i in the wilds of Minnesota

On a related note, when things get really bad we take a multi-faceted approach to mosquito control. In addition to installing bug fuzz and foam seals, we carry two bug-zapping rackets and a Thermacell (which actually does seem to work). No-see-um mesh panels turn our awning into a passable screen room/vestibule on the passenger side. We also have the homemade "hairnets" to add an extra screen layer to the windows, but haven't really needed them since installing the fuzz.

My 2018 did NOT come with the fuzz. Nucamp provided the “kit” upon request, free of charge, as I recall.ScottG said:I thought the fuzz had been incorporated by nuCamp by 2018, but it sounds like maybe not.nuCamp sent me a retrofit kit for my 2015, but the stuff is available from other sources.Compressible foam weatherstrip is good for filling gaps under screen frames--any decent hardware store will have a variety.TV- '16 Chevy Colorado LT Crew Cab-DuraMax

Those huge Minnesota “humming bird” size mosquitos can fly right through a fiber screen!
. Good luck.

I bought a battery powered lamp/bug zapper from amazon. When switched to bug zap, it glows dimly. But next morning there are no bugs in my tab. I hang it near the fantastic fan on a stick on hook.
