V-6 Cylinder Jeep Cherokee/TAB 320

May purchase a V-6 Jeep Cherokee with 4500 pound tow capacity. Should I be concerned with towing a TAB 320?

This should work just fine.  You have at least 40-percent more capacity than the trailer weighs.  Just check that the tongue weight rating is at least 400 lbs, which it should be.

I think that would be a great choice for the 320.  We have it’s big brother the Grand Cherokee with 6000lb+ capacity for the 400, which is about 40-50% or so heavier than the 320 (and double the tongue weight), so the 2 TV/RV pairings would be similar in ratio, I think.  You should probably have concern if you wanted to tow the 400 with the smaller Cherokee, but for the 320, I think you’re in the sweet spot.

I've been debating this same question as I move up from my old 4L Cherokee (which pulls it fine but does struggle up the passes). I agree that the tow rating s/b fine from towing limits but with the 3.2L I don't want to be the 35-40mph TV going over our passes. Based on respected people on this forum I'm looking for a late model 3.6L Grand Cherokee or even the V8 if I can find it in a Trailhawk edition.

I tow a 320 S Boondock Lite with a 2012 Jeep Liberty.  It has the factory tow package, 4WD, and a 3.7L six cylinder engine.  While I am not breaking speed records, I have not had any problems towing.

I have the 3.6L V6 Jeep engine in my Gladiator, and it pulls the TaB400 just fine, with the 8-speed auto transmission.  I think the Cherokee is a good fit for the 320.

@rsireland I have 2019 Jeep Cherokee V6 with factory tow package and 320S , no issues towing, most of the time don't feel the trailer is behind me, highly recommend it.
