Solar Wiring, Controller to the Battery

Another question, this one about the wiring...
My battery is in a sealed box with a distribution stud device adjacent.
Can I attach the wires from my controller to the distribution studs or do I need to connect them directly to the battery. It seems this is what it is for. (I understand I will need to keep the penetrations sealed if I need to attach the cables directly to the battery anodes).
This looks like where all the power to the trailer comes from...

It would be nice to not have to open up the box.

Also, Any advice to the routing of the cables from the panels to the controller, I am thinking of coming into the trailer where the ref is and winding my way down, (we have the larger fridge in lieu of the closet),

You can attach the solar controller wires to the distribution terminals.
