50 Amp to 30 Amp Surge and Adapter

Newbie here.   I've read that parks usually have 50 amp power sources, so do i need an adapter to bring down to 30 amp, plus a surge protector placed inline after the adapter?  Or is there a surge protector/adapter that does all of that for me?   I found this item on Amazon; can it be used as adapter and protector?  Thanks.

We carry 2 adapters, a 20 to 30 amp, and a 50 to 30 amp. Plug the adapter into the box, then your 30 amp surge protector, then the 30 amp power cord. We've found that the campgrounds with electricity usually have either 30 or 50, sometimes on the same pole so you choose what you need. The 20 amp is what I use to plug in at home.

Welcome TxNew23ers! You will need an adapter that will allow your 120V 30A three-prong plug to properly fit into a 240V 50A four-prong receptacle. The adapter will draw off only one hot leg of the receptacle, cutting the voltage down to 120V. The amperage is not relevant as that is determined by the maximum amount of power your trailer can demand (in this case 30A).

What the park provides depends where you go. I encounter 120V 20A and 30A receptacles far more often than 240V 50A receptacles.

To cover all the bases I would suggest getting a 30A surge protector with separate adapter blocks that will allow you to plug it into a 20A or 50A receptacle if needed.
