Can the ALDE be heating the RV with gas while driving down the road so your RV is warm when you stop for the night? I know it works really well on gas and 12V, but not sure the gas burner vent is made to handle the wind while driving.
@Tampakayaker, every once in a while, I’ll search the forum for “Aldi” and correct the spelling to be “Alde”.....but I guess I better leave your post alone since I had already corrected the spelling on this discussion.

I thought the propane was supposed to be turned off when driving. Seems like there was a thread about this that I read recently, but I am not sure how to find it again.

I've tried running the Alde while on the road, hoping for a warmer Tab when we stopped. We ended up with icicles hanging from the kitchen spigot... Tab is quite well 'vented', even with everything closed up!

We travel regularly with the Alde heater on. Although in really cold weather like teens and below it can barely maintain 45-50 degrees while traveling at 60+ mph. For a faster warm up we will use our big buddy propane heater to allow the Alde to catch up after we stop.
@Verna It might help to point out that the word "Alde" is pronounced "Alda" is Sweden and is the first name of the inventor. "Aldi' is a German grocery store making big inroads into the US lately.
Just can't recommend travelling with LPG on. Generally not a good idea. Wear a sweatshirt. Use the Big Buddy to get it up to temp., once you're set up.
In any case, the Alde system will heat the trailer up pretty quickly. Once you get stopped and chocked, connect your electrics and start the heater going. By the time you are finished setting up camp the trailer will be warm.
Just as information. If you have a memory foam topper That’s 2 or 3 inches. When the temps get down in the 40s and below those things turn into concrete until they warm up.

I'm trying to sound this out in my head...should we say it like "AL-Duh" or "Awl-duh"?

Yes, @rhyno, in Swedish, it is pronounced “Al-duh”, as though it was spelled “Alda”
As @falcon1970 mentioned, the correct spelling is Alde, not “Aldi”, the upcoming grocery store that is owned by a German company as a no-frills grocery store.
