With a casset head retaining the black water

I was thinking why do I need the large diameter hose when I'm only draining water (grey)

can a cap with a 3/4" hose attached do the job?

save all the space storing etc

Probably but it would take awhile to drain a gray tank.  Might irk people back in line at a dump station.

We use the cap with a hose and drain into a portable grey water tank and it takes a long time.  I agree - use the hose at a dump station.

+1 for cap and hose only for small amounts of gray water into a portable container. We have a 7 gallon Aquatainer designated for gray-only that we take with us on longer trips to avoid needing to leave our camping spot. At $15 it is a heck of a lot cheaper than a honey wagon. Definitely keep the full size hose for the dump station.

So I have a real newbie question... now that the snow is (almost) gone I am getting ready to play.  I assume that the grey handle to the left of the drain pipe is the valve to dump the water?  Seems like a pretty silly question... but I can’t find the answer anywhere.

Yes.  That’s the gray water dump valve handle.
