Awning Install and Black Keder Rail Liner (not the end plug)

Our new awning just arrived and we have set it up on our T@B. Sliding the end through the Keder Rail caused the black liner material to dislodge. Is the liner a needed component with the awning? If so, we can reinsert it easily. We just aren't sure how to best proceed. Previously we had clips in the Keder to hold a string of lights and the black liner was necessary to retain the clips.

I think that most of us just pull it out and throw it away.

Yes, just remove it and pitch it.

Nooooooo! Take it out and save it. That's perfectly good "vinyl trim insert" that goes for $0.60/ft at etrailer!  ;-)

Most do throw it away. FWIW, we have cut short sections (measure as needed) and reinsert in the lower Keder to keep the guy lines of our visor from shifting. Works well.
