Air8 Stopped Working Twice

We have a 2021 T@B 320S and used the air conditioning for the first time over the weekend.  It was in the 80’s with high humidity.  The Air8 worked continuously from Friday evening until the middle of the afternoon on Saturday.  We went back to the camper to find that air conditioner was off and the temp inside was 78 degrees.  No fuses were blown.  Restarted it - worked fine until the middle of the night when I woke up again to 78 degrees, no fan running and again no fuses blown.  Temp was set for 68 degrees.  The air was running continuously since it was so hot and we were parked in the sun.  Perhaps the compressor froze up? Any insight would be helpful.

If you haven't changed the programming to allow the fan to run continuously, that is the first thing I would do. The ambient temperature sensor is inside the air return area of the unit, which means that if there isn't air moving over it the reading will be very inaccurate. Kind of like having the temperature sensor inside a Styrofoam cooler.

I have called the dealer, but also reprogrammed the fan.  Hopefully that will be the fix.

We have the same exact problem; however, our a/c is Dometic.

We reprogrammed our Air8 and that seems to have helped a lot. Fan runs all the time when the unit is on. Compressor will turn on and off as needed.

Question about getting our Air8 fan to continuously run when in cooling mode. We have reprogrammed our Air8 to be in cooling mode with fan speed set to medium but the fan stops running when the Air8 reaches the set temperature. The Air8 fan speed is not set to auto. 

Any suggestions

@Freespirit, have you done the reprogramming of the unit as per the video? That would be the first thing I would do, the only exception would be if you have had a remote ambient temperature sensor installed.

@Dutch061 THANK YOU,  we thought we did the reprogramming but after your suggestion we started looking for exactly how to reprogram the Air8 and found the video you recommended. IT WORKED!!!
Thanks so much, camping in Zion NP and we need just a little AC.
