Air8 reprogramming question

Hello -- I know this has been discussed in another thread, but I wanted to ask a question. I did the reprogramming the other day and so far it's humming right along, and NOT shutting off like it used to do. But every half hour or so it gets a little more quiet and the temp will go up a few degrees, then it kicks back in and cools down again (probably normal). And the reprogramming itself is not going to bypass some kind of protective mechanism in the air conditioner? I'm guessing it won't, otherwise that would have been front and center in conversations about this. Is there anything I need to do in terms of maintenance with having it on this new setting? Thanks in advance for everyone's support and expertise.

I suspect that what you are experiencing s the cycling of the compressor itself. This would be normal, as far as any additional service, with the fan circulating constantly, it may tend to get the air filter dirty faster. Of course this depends on the environment you are in..
