@gulfarea, mine came off recently, but it was easy to re-attach, because it has round velcro attachment points (yellow arrow in below photo.) I believe there are three or four of those velcro "dots." Does yours have those?
I don't specifically recall, but I believe that the round piece depicted above the red arrow is a "stop" for the long triangular piece of the shade that rotates.
The other round piece with a tiny hole in it (bottom center of the photo) is a vent for the window, which I believe allows it to "breathe" to reduce the chance of moisture build-up.
