Help. Turned on pump toilet leaking in back

The first time I used my tab this year I turned on the pump and I could see water coming out from behind the toilet.  It was clear it was leaking.  Only when pressure was applied when the pump was on.  I can’t see behind it to see if it is coming from the line or somewhere else.  I took the hose off and could not see anything     Any ideas?  Dave

Sounds suspiciously like a cracked toilet valve due to trapped water that froze.  I think you need to remove the toilet.

@Herg, I agree with @Sharon_is_SAM.

Pulling the toilet is quite easy, just two hold-down nuts. The seal underneath the toilet is simply a flexible rubber flange, no wax to mess with.

I found the replacement kit for that valve on Amazon.

Use Google to search for your toilet model.

@Herg, the 2 hold down nuts are on either side of the toilet base. They are at the toilet bottom level and are visible in the bathroom, probably under plastic caps. And only a small amount of t@b toilet yoga is necessary for removal. Technical difficulty and flexibility level is: beginner, but it does help if you have arms as long as an orangutan! Well, ok. I confess. It's true. I've often been compared to an orangutan, but usually only when dancing - not plumbing...

He he. Thanks. I just went out there. And I found the bolts.  Not sure what size but all I do is pull it straight up correct?   All I do is pull the seal straight up with it?

Yep, though the seal may stay stuck to the hole. On mine at least, the installers were not at all stingy with the caulking when they attached the toilet flange to the floor.

The seal is rubber (or similar) and can be reused if undamaged. However, chances are if you buy a replacement valve it will come with a new seal as well.

The crack may not be obvious.  The toilet valve is a weak link.  Just change it out.

Yep, there's the crack..

After seeing some of these in this forum, I now pump some antifreeze through our toilet as part of our winterizing routine.
