I can certainly relate to a certain lack of patience!!
When Samsung released their first foldable smart phone last year, a bunch of the reviewers they sent it to removed the "protective shipping plastic" from the screens - and destroyed the phones. So you are certainly not the first, and undoubtably not the last.
Good idea to take a break from it.
Hope you can find a good resolution.
