2022 Ford Maverick...Might Be A Good TV Option

For those looking for something that SHOULD tow a 320 AND offer a ton (literally and then some) of cargo capacity, the new Ford Maverick might fit the bill. It's a smaller truck with a 4k towing capacity and 1500lb payload.

AND it's dirt cheap affordable.

Note that the 4k towing capacity is only for the 2.0 ecoboost with AWD and 3.81 axle ratio. Every other drivetrain is only rated for 2k lbs towing capacity.

A Ford truck called a Maverick?  This is all wrong, the original Ford Maverick was a scaled down Mustang (hinge the Maverick name) without the bucket seats, and shared some Mustang parts.

Headed out this morning to order a Ford Maverick with the 4k tow package .Motor Trend says it tows great but mileage drops down to 11mpg when towing 4k.

That's about what I get towing our 400 with our 2020 Tacoma TRD OR.

The bed capacity is determined by options. My Lariet ,1336 which is decreased by passengers, gem in bed, plus tw. My research for the 320 s boondock showed very close to gcwr.

@Okpete Yeah, I suspect payload will be decreased as you add options. Still not a bad number to begin with considering its size. My Tacoma only has a 950lb payload.
