Hi, picking up our new T@B 400 BD on next week and planning on ways to accelerate getting the "new car smell" out of there as soon as possible.  Mr. google indicated to turn up the heat for a couple of days, Mrs. google said to place pans of ammonia in there, google child #1 said use an ozone-ator (I have one) and google child #2 says get air moving.  I'll do them all.

I have a 2013 Everlite that I will be selling and it has Maxxair vent covers, real nice since I can open vents in rain.  Does the standard fan setup in this model allow for opening the vent cover without rain intrusion?  Even a little?  If I was going to just keep the fan running for a while w/the windows cracked (after teh first 3 items above).

The factory fan is not an all weather setup.  You could add a MaxAir hood over the vent, which will allow it to be used in the rain, and left open a bit when traveling.  We have one added to our TaB.  You can also get an upgrade kit, to add more fan speeds, quieter operation at low speeds, and a rain detector to close the fan when it rains.

I would forgo using the ammonia, it is just adding more chemical agents to the mix.  Fresh air and some heat does the trick.

Welcome aboard, and congratulations on your new TaB.  Happy travels and stay safe.
