Tab 400 Undersink Cabinet Latch

I’ve learned that with a little pressure the latches on the curved doors under the sink do not hold. I’m able to easily pull them open with my finger.  In the picture you can see that there is some overlap but it’s not enough to firmly hold the doors closed.  Both doors are the same. I can envision something in the cabinet shifting suddenly pushing the doors open.

They haven’t failed while traveling so far but I’m thinking about a mod of some sort.

Maybe some washers between the fixed “L” to get them closer to the latch mechanism?

The latch and strike plate need realignment so they meet correctly when latched.

I agree with @Denny16 but also check that the doors are still properly aligned.  The hinges are easy to adjust.  Just pay attention to which way the doors might need to move and which way the adjusters on the hinges move the door.  Avery slight adjustment is probably all you will need.

The bottom drawer on the sink side cabinet would never close properly.  After considerable exploration, I found that the button was installed about 1/8" too high.  Unfortunately, unlike the doors, adjusting the drawer slides was not a fix and I had to do considerable surgery on the metal stop.  A small thing but should have been caught with effective quality control.
