2022 T@B 320 S AC Drain

scott14scott14 Member Posts: 132
It appears to me that the AC condensation drain on our 2022 T@B 320 S outlets directly above a substantial cross-member of the frame.  My concern is purposely placing moisture on a frame component.   Has anyone modified this to deflect the condensation away from the frame?  Is this a similar design to previous model years?

Do you have a picture.  Here is the 2022 CSS A/C drain (#1 in photo).

@Sharon_is_Sam Below are a couple of photos showing the outlet pipe.  It is the black pipe (1 1/2" diameter (?)) in front of and near the blue pipe (fresh tank overflow).  It outlets directly over the main cross-member that the rear stabilizers are attached to.

So the outlet location falls directly under the Air Conditioning unit.  It may something else, but it sure appears to be the condensation drain.  Any thoughts?

@scott - this is our first view of a 2022 320 S drain.  Can you post a photo of the other drains in the rear of your TaB?

I know they relocated the fresh water tank drain to come off the tank at the rear.

This photo is on the driver's side and shows the low point drains (hot & cold) white tubing with valves to the left and the grey tank drain valve handle.

Again, driver's side, Alde drains (red) and I believe the clear tube in the center to the left of the gas splitter is the Alde hot water drain (yellow safety valve in Alde compartment).

Sorry for the orientation,  this is passenger's side and is the fresh water tank drain.

@scott14 - thanks for those photos.  The Air8 really sits much further back in the S model, hence that drain location.
The 2021s have the same design.

@Sharon_is_SAM thanks for the information on the 2021 320 S models.  I would interested to know if anyone with a 2021 320 S has had any issues because of the drain.   It may be too soon to see any long-term problems though.

Going into year 3 with my 2021 T@b 320 and no issues.

The Air8 on the 320 has been awesome. I particularly love the dehumidifier mode to dry things out during rainy weather or after a shower.

Thanks Jenn.  Can you confirm the outlet pipe we have been discussing is in fact the Air8 condensation drain?

The "dry mode" on our 2021 320S Boondock is a mystery. In dry mode, the unit only powers on with the thermostat set well below ambient temperature. Then cold air comes through the ducts seemingly the same as in AC mode. Does the thermostat have be lowered for dry mode work? Should the duct air be chilled?

Scott14 is correct. It is the AC draining onto the BAL stabilizer jack frame rail. our 2022 320 S Boondock already has rust on the Passenger side rear stabilizer parts. I plan on fashioning a tiny diverter to mount on the frame similar to a home downspout rainwater diverter.
     Hey nuCamp, any advice?
