Hi Everyone, We will be picking up our new Tab 320S in late June. I'm looking for the best advice on what tools and other trailer gear I should definitely bring along on trips. I really appreciate your collective wisdom.
Aside from your regular favorite tool kit (Philips and flathead screwdrivers, sockets, wrenches) add a square drive screwdriver or bit for those weird screws they like to use on RVs, a multimeter to troubleshoot electrical issues and a hanging scale to figure out how much propane is left in the tank.
Some of the additional gear we've added to our camper includes a heavy duty 30 Amp Surge Guard made by Southwire; an Atwood Plus coupler lock by Ft. Knox locks; 4 wheel chocks; an RV/Marine water filter for when connected to city water; a set of Camco leveling blocks (10 pack); several Reliance 6 gallon water containers for when boondocking.
In addition, I carry a small tool bag with essential tools like a hammer, screw drivers, pliers, etc., and a cordless impact driver to lower and raise our stabilizers. We've picked up quite a few "non-essential" but extremely helpful items through the years like a large Coleman canopy, portable propane griddle, folding table, camp chairs/table.
To the good suggestions you've already gotten, I would add a heavy-duty, deep socket and long-handled 1/2" drive bar-type wrench to change a tire in case of a flat. I also travel with a small hydraulic jack and a number of scrap-wood blocks to use as cribbing if needed.
