We pulled our microwave and I build new cupboard doors. Built entirely from what I could find at Lowe's Hardware.
The wood is poplar, 1/2"x6"x24" boards. They're actually lighter and less grainy in person (iPhone camera did this automatically), so they blend nicely with the rest of the wood.
The other night I was lying there in my bed, looking up at the stars, and thought "Hey, wait a sec, where the heck's the ceiling!?!"

Have you road tested them yet? I ask because when I replaced my air conditioner (which was in that same location in older T@Bs) with a cabinet the door would not stay closed on the road, even though I had installed the same latch dohicky used on the other cabinets. I ultimately had to add a thumb screw so i could effectively bolt the door closed whiled in transit. Just something to be aware of...
