Crust build up inside cassette toilet tank

Hi,

I have noticed after about 100 days of camping, my cassette toilet tank has a yellowish crust.  I'm assuming this is urine crust.  It has only been used to collect urine.   It has no odor, but I'm wondering if this is normal and what can be used to clean it out.  I use happy camper each time and rinse the tank twice after each use.  Thank you

If the Happy Camper is not well dissolved and kept mixed with adequate water, it will form a residue.

HI,  I mix (with water) the happer camper in a water bottle before putting in the tank.  Sometimes there is a very small amount not disolved, but it's mostly disolved.

You might try doing a vinegar soak after your next trip. Clean it like you always do, then put water in it up to where the crust is, then add a couple of cups of white vinegar. Shake it really well, then let it sit for a few hours before you drain it and rinse again. It could be hard water deposits too.  I’ve noticed my bowl gets a little crusty from hard water.
