Wanted to start a thread that was a central place for people to post their towing MPG with their tow vehicle so we have a list of vehicles and their towing MPG for those shopping for replacement TV.
- Year - Make - Model - Engine of Tow Vehicle
- Year - 400 - Trim
- MPG overall
- Average tow speeds
Perhaps if this takes off we can get it pinned/stickied

As listed above this truck gets about 10 mpg below 70 mph. 70+ mph it gets about 8 or 9 mpg. Traveling out West is hard due to the wind and the massive elevation change. If I had to buy over, I'd probably get a Tundra.

Unfortunately, to pay for a vehicle in fuel savings will take 20 years +/- based on the calculations I did 18 months ago before the prices at the pump went stupid. So, it may take more or less at today's prices depending on miles traveled per year.
BTW, the current "median price" of a vehicle is $48K, in 4 years, it is projected to be $80K, and in 8 years it is projected to be $130K.

If we are driving behind a semi truck (not *too* close mind you) we can get about 18-19mpg. Or if we have a good tailwind. On the flip side, a headwind can make things worse.

10 MPG overall average towing. In the flatlands of America, around 11.5 to 13. Strictly in the mountains, around 9. Went to uCamp twice (2400 miles each way) and that really gave me a feel for what to expect with mileage.
