Trailer Extended Warranty

Has anyone had any experience purchasing and using a 3rd party extended warranty for their TAB?  Particularly one from Good Sam?  What has been your experience in cost and using the coverage?  Cheers!

Most, if any, defects in the RV are going to surface during the first year of use.  Third party warranties are in general, not very useful.  First you need to find a service center or dealer that Will accept the terms of the extended warranty.  Next you need to determine exactly what the warranty will cover.  The only expensive bits in a TB, are the Alde, Air Conditioner, and power converter.  Batteries are usually not included in warranties.  On newer TaBs, the Nautilus unit might be worth including.  The Good Sam warranty may be an exception, depending on what it covers.

I recently saw a news report on just how bad extended warranties are for automobiles. I’d assume RVs would be just as bad. They’ll try to wiggle out of any responsibility and find any excuse to do so.
