2021 T@B400 Coolcat AC not putting out much air

y daughter called to say that the her AC was not putting out much cool air. The air coming out is cool but not much volume. Was working well for months but just in the past couple week, getting weaker. Starts out fine but gets worse. She talked to NuCamp and they couldn't help her. I suggested AC filters needed to be cleaned so she did that but no luck. Thoughts? Anyone experience this?
She is full-timing in it so she needs to get this figured out. She is in Denver right now (high 90s during the day) and can't seem to find a mobile RV tech to take a look at it.

Thanks, but it is blowing cold air, but the fan just doesn't seem to be pushing it out.2014 T@b S Max AKA T@dpole

What could be happening is that the plenum is leaking air because the way Nucamp secured it was inferior. Our 2021 400 had this issue. One way to tell if this is the problem before opening up the dinette seat is to feel the outside wall towards the driver side where the dinette bench is with the AC running. Ours was cold which meant a ton of air was leaking into that bench seat area.Once I removed the bench top it revealed that the corner of the plenum had come untaped and was leaking air. Once I retaped it there was a noticeable increase in air volume.Easy fix. Here’s a link to my thread:

Well, she did look at the above issue and found hers doing the same thing. She taped it up but, unfortunately, it did not fix the issue. It's almost like her fan is sometimes stuck on low. Switching between Auto, Hi, and Low does nothing for fan speed. She has tried resetting the breaker for the AC and pulling the AC 12v fuse as well. It will start high in the morning, but as the morning progresses and the temp outside rises, it drops down in to low fan mode. As it gets cooler near the end of the day, it does somewhat go back to high fan mode and the camper cools down. The fact that the unit is cooling and that the fan can come on high leads me to almost think it is a control unit (thermostat) problem?

Like I said above, it is not a problem with the cooling. That works fine. It puts out cold air. Just has no air flow like the fan is on low and switching fan modes does nothing.manyman297 said:

At one time I had a problem with the CC evaporator icing up in high humidity conditions. As the ice built up, air flow would decrease and sometimes you could hear the fan hitting the ice. If I set it on fan only, it would defrost and flow was restored. I think the root problem was a low freon charge in the CC.
The ice build up could be seen if you remove the front grill and filter.
Something else to look into.
