HDMI connection to T.V.

I have a 2022 T@B 400 equipped with a 110/120 Jensen T.V. There is an HDMI cable plugged into it that runs with the rest of the wiring behind the panels. I’ve traced this cable as far as I dare and, for the life of me, I can’t find the other end. Does anyone know where this goes? I want to connect a DVD player using HDMI but, I don’t want to just unplug the cable that’s there and bypass this.

Tab 400s have DVD capabilities built into the baked-in Jensen head unit, don't they? I'd assume that the HDMI cable is running to the rear of the Jensen unit. I'm pretty sure that the unit installed on the 400s does not do HDMI-passthrough on the faceplate, unlike the unit in the 320s.

Doesn't it have to run from the TV to the Jensen A/V unit?

We plug into the HDMI input on the A/V on our 320 to watch movies downloaded to an I-pad, so clearly there is a connection. I would think you can simply plug a DVD player in similarly.

Apparently 2022 400s do not have the same Jensen head unit that I'd seen in older models, but same Jensen cube that is in the 320s.

@rs7971 - you should be able to plug into the HDMI input on the front of the Jensen faceplate, though it seems like it's in an inconvenient location.

I put a switched HDMI splitter inline. It allows me to use the existing wiring, or plug in my iphone/ipad and cast directly to the TV (and send the audio to the Jensen via Bluetooth.)

Word of warning for those considering HDMI 'splitters' - make sure you're using/buying one that supports HDCP 2.2, or else you may eventually run into issues with devices refusing to output video. There's a bunch of older splitter and other in-line HDMI devices still on the market that only support the older HDCP 1.x standard, and most people aren't aware that HDCP is even a factor.
