Battery disconnect switch not working

I have a 2023 Tab 320s. I can't get the switch to turn off battery.

Hi,  Does the battery switch not turn (rotate)?  Or things remain powered with the switch off?  The label on some switches can be a bit unclear which is off or on.  Have you disconnected your wires from the battery recently and maybe not put them back in the same spots?  Can you take a picture of the switch and your battery wiring. Could help to trouble shoot. tks

Going on our third season and I still forget which direction to rotate the switch and which position is on or off. =)

    Sharpie to the rescue ....

As long as you can see the green it is on and if you see red it is off.  Ours got mounted sideways so when the battery is vertical it is actually on and horizontal is off.

Switch is inside by door. It turns but does not turn off battery. Haven't touched any wires.

    Hi,

As shown in the picture, the switch is in the ON position. The small cutout on the red handle marks the position.  Green for ON, red for OFF.  To turn the power off from the battery, turn the red handle (looks like to the left) so the cut out is on the red portion of the label.

@JanetNLilly ; Welcome to the forum and nuCamp TaB Family.

Before looking at the Cut-Off Switch Position Question . . . here is a brief overview of the trailer 12VDC System Wiring.

When on Shore Power the Power Center (fuse panel box) provides 12VDC to the trailer.  Your trailer cabin lights for example will function even if the Battery Cut-Off Switch is in the off position.

To confirm the Battery Cut-Off Switch Operation you must not have Shore Power connected to the trailer.

As @Yoshi_TAB noted your Battery Cut-Off Switch [picture you posted] is in the Battery On position.
In this adjusted brightness/contrast image the "Green On" Marking is visible.

When the switch is in the Off position it will look something like:

Suggest you confirm the Shore Power is not connected and retest the Battery Cut-Off Switch Positions.

I turned it to red, but 12v still on. I'm boondocking now, so no shore power.

Perhaps you should remove the Battery in-line Fuse and see what happens.
Removing the fuse will 100% disconnect the battery.

If all 12VDC then is off, a defective cut-off switch or installation error is likely.

If 12VDC remains on, then there is a not-the-battery 12VDC Source at play.
    {solar panel wiring non-standard for example}

    P.S.
Suggest also test/conform 12VDC being present by using a higher power/current method like the Roof Fan or several cabin lights.

Thank you. I'll try the fuse. If I can figure out how.

Hi, It will be next to the battery coming from the positive terminal on the battery and look like this.  Open the top and the fuse pulls out.  It will have a 30 on it.
