Once you're at the camp site, do you turn the pump switch on and leave it on? Or do you turn it off at night or when you know you won't be using water for an extended period of time?
I'm guilty of leaving it on but most people prefer to turn it off when they are away from the trailer in case something springs a leak. The pump will happily flood the trailer.
If you turn it on, it will run only when the pressure is low. Assuming you have no leaks, it will only run when needed. If you have a leak, it will pump until you are out of water....
I turn ours off when not needed. My wife turns it back on. The choice is yours.
The issue with leaving the water pump on all the time, is if you spring a leak, you could flood the trailer. The water pump,in the TaB is a marine type pump, rated for intermittent use. So leaving the pump off until it is needed is the safest way to go. It on,y takes a few seconds to pump up pressure. cheers

I use it only when needed. If you run it just before bedtime it will have plenty of pressure for a few flushes during the night without running it and waking your partner. Always a good idea!
Only when needed and never when I'm away from the camper but I will leave it on while I'm there once in a while. If it comes on and I'm not running water then I know to look for a leak.
