Tab 400 Wet Bath Door Trim

Hello, 

We own a 2019 Tab 400 Boondock Lite. We have been very happy with the quality of the camper and have made a couple minor modifications. Over the last year, the plastic door trim for the wet bath has cracked and is coming off (photo attached). I called NuCamp and they were aware of the problem, though it's not covered under warranty. So, I ordered a door trim kit from my dealer (approx.  $75) and it's basically four white metal L shaped trim pieces that are meant to "wrap over" the inside of the bath wall (about 5/8 inch) but does not wrap to the front. Has anybody purchased and installed this kit? If so, did you find it adequate even though it does not fully "envelope" the edge of the plywood?

Long story but I was sent this kit when all I actually needed was a new door due to warping. So I have the pieces but never installed them. 

Somebody else on here recently made their own trim kit with aluminum and they said the hinges felt substantially more solid after installation.

If the kit is just L-shaped channels, then I don't think it'll help with the strength of the hinges because the plywood layers can still separate if you apply too much downward force on the bathroom door.
