Potential Leak Location

Here's another fitting that owners (at least those of older T@Bs) may want to check as part of their maintenance routines. These are hand threaded fittings that connect to the shower faucet. These are located behind a removable panel near the driver's side window. Like other fittings of this type, these tend to slowly unscrew themselves over time until a drip develops. I found this one after installing a new water pump. The pump worked great but would active briefly about every ten seconds, with each cycle followed by a drip-drip-dripping sound in the shower wall. A small puddle in the wheel well confirmed the problem, and a few twists of the wrist solved it.
On my T@B, similar fittings are also found at the city water connection, the connections to the water pump, and the supply to the toilet. Newer T@Bs may have crimped or clamped fittings in some of these locations, but recent discussions suggest those may come with their own issues.
