Is this from the "Recall - Incorrect Battery Disconnect Switch Installed" ?

The wire was hot to the touch and seemed to happen while towing with inverter turned off. No power other than solar recharging via panels. I assumed I wouldn't be caught up in this as I got my 2024 TAB 400 after the recall.....

Recall:  Pleasant Valley Teardrop Trailers LLC (Pleasant Valley) is recalling certain 2023-2024 nuCamp TAB 400, Cirrus 620, and 820 trailers with the Lithium Upgrade. The incorrect battery disconnect switch may have been installed.

The issue is the disconnect switch in the lower photo.  Your upper photo is a fuse.

Owners may contact Pleasant Valley customer service at 1-330-852-4811- ext. 327.

Thank you, still the fuse shouldn't be melting like that especially when nothing is running and no shore power is hooked up while driving down the road. Any suggestions?

My guess is that wire with fuse runs to the Solar charger. Might want to check all the connections on that run of wiring.

What size fuse is that?  You can check with nuCamp to see what it should be.  Send question and email to tech@nucamprv.com.

The fuse holder itself is what got hot without blowing the 30 amp fuse.  This indicates a poor (high resistance) connection in the holder generating heat at lower than 30 amps.  My guess is a loose or corroded connection to the fuse blade or (less likely) a defective connection of the green wire to the fuse socket.  I have seen fuses installed in this type holder with the blades along side the socket's connector in the plastic body instead of in the grip of the metal connectors.
A new fuse holder is likely the best and easiest fix.
