Small plastic part came out of cassette toilet.

Hopefully this is an easy one for experts on the cassette toilets.  I was cleaning out my cassette toilet with fresh water, and this small part came out when I shook and dumped the water out.  Does anybody know how it goes back in and what it does?  The ladybug is about an inch wide.  Thanks very much in advance.

Hi Shastabar.  Thanks for the pics.  I have a different cassette toilet from you it looks like, and mine is a box that can’t be opened up the way you have (I don’t think).  Can you tell me what this part does so I know if it is worth me trying get my hand in there to put it back in place?  The toilet seems to be working just fine without it…
