Hello - Newbies from Indiana

Hello All,

We hail from the Indianapolis area and are newbies to the T@B Forum. After a year of researching small trailers, my wife and I found an almost new 2021, T@B 320s Boondock trailer. So far, everything works great. We also purchased a 2024 Nissan Pro-4X as our tow vehicle.

In our earlier years, we used to tour the country on a 1984 Honda Goldwing Interstate stopping each night at a hotel. We were always rushed to see the "sights" since we only had two weeks of vacation. I am now retired and we can take our time and see our beautiful country. We are also looking forward to Teardrop and Nucamp rallies as well.

Welcome welcome Karen, Bret and Banana!  It is so nice being retired with the time to wander.  Enjoy your time with your TaB.  There is a steep learning curve with the Alde and Nautilus, but they are great systems once you master them.  Forum members are a good source of info.  Enjoy!

Welcome and congratulations on your new 320!  These trailers are built to superior standards.  This forum also is second to none with so much knowledge and willingness to share it!  Be sure to post pictures of your adventures and don't be shy with questions.

Thanks for all of the kind comments. I look forward to being active in this community, sharing our travels and posting any changes or repairs if applicable. Currently, we are having issues with our Elwell AC unit. It blows cool air but only reduces the inside temp by 7 degrees!! I have been in touch with NuCamp and they asked me to look for the AC sensor. I did look (found none) and searched the this forum. Seems that on the 2021 year, the sensor was either clipped to the AC plenum or mounted under the left speaker. I do not have either of these in my TAB and so, I have a service ticket in with NuCamp. I am thankful already for this forum!!!

measure the air temp coming out of the ac at the vent..  Delta T should be 16-22 degrees.  If it is the AC unit is working correctly and just does not have enough capacity to drop the temp more in the camper.  Be sure doors and windows are closed and ceiling fan is off and, hopefully, camper is in the shade...

I apologize for not answering sooner (now Sept 10)!! I did measure the Delta T and it was only 7 degrees F on an 80 degree day. as you said, windows covered, vent closed and etc. Could not keep it out of direct sun. However, I should get better cooling than this. Called Nucamp and found that my 2021, 320s does NOT have a thermocouple attached. In pre-2021 models, it should have been attached next to the AC filter. From 2021 on, Nucamp says they were mounting it next to the passenger side speaker. As stated, my 320 had neither. They sent me the kit and with the sensor added, I still see no more than a 7 degree delta. I now have a service appointment set at Nucamp service. While I am there, I am having a flush done as well as an overall safety inspection. Thanks...
