Shutoff valve for the showerhead on 2021 TAB 400 Boondock

This will probably sound strange.  Sometimes I wash my hair without showering by kneeling down on the floor just outside the bathroom door and bending over the drain on the shower floor.  This is to keep water spray from going all over the bathroom.  The challenge is turning off the water flow.  I have to reach up and fumble around to find the valve handle with soap in my eyes.  Can't let go of the shower nozzle else it goes wild like a garden hose on the loose.  I would like to install a valve on the shower nozzle.

Any suggestions?  Thanks.

I don't know what they are installing now, but the original shower head that came with my T@B had an integrated shut-off. When it stopped working, I replaced it with this. Unlike many others which still allow a bit of dribble, this particular model completely stops the flow. The little sliding switch on the handle is a bit awkward compared to my original head, but I'm being pretty fussy here.

And I don't think your hair washing routine is strange at all. I've seen others do it, and I'd probably do it myself--if I had any hair...  (:-/

Now I'm curious... @subkron, does the valve you mentioned above fully stop the flow in the "off" position? I've been using my T@B shower a lot more this season, and I like that your valve can control flow rate in addition to just providing an on/off function.

Thanks for the shutoff valve link on Amazon. We have a bad habit of brushing-up against the shower on/off and spraying water at the worst times. Hopefully this addition to the head handle will be a good control valve.

Yikes, that link I provided is (IMO) fuggly, Amazon/vendor changed the product!  The one I actually purchased was a chrome finish and now I see they changed it to matte black.

If you search for "chrome shower shutoff" you can find various vendors with different finishes, this is closer to the one I purchased since it matches the shower in my 400:

I agree with Subkron this is the one ,I have one in my 400  ,I use it for adding water to the toilet real fast. They screw in 
line with the shower wand.
