Old School DVD

Just a quick update that I did since our last outing.  I know it's 'old school technology', but I bought a small DVD player for those times we are boondocking and didn't take the time to download movies.  We have so many movies on DVD...we just throw a few in the camper in case we get an early evening or a rain day.  I made a small, wooden platform to raise it up a bit so it fits really well into the opening below the Jenson.  I also have a very small inverter that I can use for those boondocking trips.
I had to drill a hole from underneath to route the power and HDMI cords.  I tucked them up above the window with a few command strip cord holders.

Cool!  I still believe old school can be beneficial & useful! I kept an old DVD player  & a turntable & something else from my old “stereo system” — still works!

Same but I wired it directly to 12 volts. We don't use an inverter. Everything 12 volts is on a switch.

@lkc001.  What goes around comes around!  Pardon the pun.

@SLJ.  Thanks!  I didn't even think to check the DC power requirement!  I just assumed it was some oddball increment so I just used a small inverter that I carry in the camper.  Thanks again!

Replaced the Jensen with an LG unit. When on the road we stop at second hand stores to find DVD's for when camped in an area with no service. Drop off the one's we've watched and grab "new" movies. Also have a Bluetooth receiver behind the picture to send music from a phone to the rear speakers.
