Broken cushion over AC

When unmaking the bed, I broke one side of the wooden frame in the cushion over the AC in a 2023 320 Boondock.  Has anyone done a repair of that before that could provide me some guidance before I tear into it?  I did contact NuCamp but have not heard back for them yet.  I am the second owner so not sure if I am covered by any kind of warranty for that type of situation.  Thank you for the help!

No warranty, repair suggestions?  Is it easy enough to repair by myself or am I better off bringing it to an upholstery shop?

Speaking as another used owner, Nucamp will likely tell you no coverage.
Our 2021 bedcushion frames promptly broke when kneeled upon, as well.
Extremely poor design and assembly- stapled through endgrain of poorly selected softwood.  No joinery.
An upholsterer can rebuild the frame.

The tragic sleeping cushion arrangement has led many, including us, to amend or entirely replace the system.

We have that in the back of our camper and when I look at it it's like balsa wood. Complete and total crap in there I don't wanna peel the entire cover off so my intention is to peel off that bottom dust protector and get a piece of plywood cut that will fit an inset in that hole. I'm gonna try to drill sideways some wood screws but if not I'll reinforce it as well with flat brackets. I'll take pictures when I do it.
