Water Pump

Hello Everyone.     I’m out enjoying my 2019 T@b400 right now but I am having issues with the water pump.    As soon as I turn the pump on it starts to vibrate or hum but there is no water flow when I turn on a faucet.     The pump constantly vibrates whether a faucet is open or not.   When a faucet is opened it spits a little water at first but then it just seems to blow air.    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!    Dan.

What are your Nautilus settings and is your fresh tank full?

Is this a new problem?  Have you started a dry system before?
It sounds like your system is just beginning to prime and fill.  If air is coming out the pump is pushing water into the system.  It will not pump air.
Let it run for a bit.  Close hot water taps and see if the cold side clears the air.  You may have to wait a bit for the hot side to fill the heater tank as well as the plumbing.
If it is not moving water, there are several ways to prime the pump with or without a pressurized source.  Search box above right.

I had to tighten the water connection to the pump, and it fixed the problem, air was getting in.

    Thanks for the replies.
I disconnected the hoses and filter housing and reconnected and now it seems to be working fine.    I’m a happy camper once again.

    Much appreciated.

Just for future reference, I had the same happen after de-winterizing. I ordered a new pump but in the meantime took the old one apart. Turns out that the small plastic pump cylinder was stuck in the casing (upper section of the pump). I was able to push it out (took a bit of force), lube it up with a touch of plumbers lube, put it back together and re-install. Have worked fine ever since (3+ month road trip). No pictures, sorry!

Returned the replacement. I think it might have been pushed up/locked by some residual water in the pump turning to ice (just a theory).
