320S headrest compartment door stay

Has anyone configured a way to hold open the door to the horizontal compartment that is just behind the couch back / bed headrest? It’s a little hard to get to while holding up the “lid”.

The storage is great but that door is a bit of a pain to use!  I mounted a Command hook that I “custom bent”. Then I put a piece of Velcro on the hook with hot glue and the corresponding Velcro piece on the door. Not a perfect solution but it works.

How about magnets?

Sharon, that lid / door is heavy so I doubt magnets would work. The hook thing will work, though not the prettiest, as Wayne said.

I used sticky backed Velcro, attaching one side to the compartment lid and the other to the wall behind. Holds well so far.

Thank you for all this info. For now I’m going to go w the Velcro and see if that works. If not, I’ll move on to something more.
