    After searching for Alde ASSE 1070 TMV2/3 without success, I asked Truma to provide instructions on how to access and clean the strainer. This is the response:

    I don’t think I’m touching it. I will run the test that @Grumpy_G suggested to identify where the problem is, then probably make an appointment. Thank you all again. It has been very educational. At least I know my camper much better now.🙂

    also, my Alde “no return valve” is horizontal and it doesn’t seem I can move it.

    @Grumpy_G we have just run your test, no water came out of the hot water drain valve. Don’t feel we have the confidence to disconnect the push-connect junctions, so we will have a technician look at it. Thanks again for your help.

    @Voyager @Grumpy_G @Bayliss

    ? ? Did I Just Solve This ? ?

    While thinking about Truma's shocking recommendation not to service the TMV that includes a filter screen, but fully replace it . . . .

    I revisited and merged the Voyager May-22 and May-23 pictures
    and NOTICED the TMV is installed Wrong.

    It appears (to me) the Cabin Hot Pipe is connected to the TMV Cold Input and the Cabin Cold is connected to the TMV Hot "out'. Am I seeing correctly? Gosh, how did we miss that if I'm right.

    @MuttonChops, [UPDATED (if you have already read my previous response)] - - initially, I though it appeared correct to me, but I based that on how my LK550 mixing valve is configured. However, after looking closely at the markings on the body of the TMV, I believe you are correct!! The TMV has the labeling for "C" (cold water "IN") and "H" (hot water "IN") from the horizontal sides, with the mixture flowing out through the bottom, as depicted by the downward arrow. NOTE: the photo below, which I found online, depicts the opposite side of the TMV, so the "C" and "H" are displayed as oriented for the opposite side, not as the photo depicted by @Voyager.

    So, "YES", @MuttonChops, I do believe you have solved the mystery. GREAT DISCOVERY!!!! I believe that is what threw us both off, because we (or at least "I"), was basing my comments on how the LK550 is configured. Apparently, whoever installed the THV on @Voyager's trailer plumbed it like the LK550 (but, just a guess on my part).

    Alde - TMV (Thermostatic Mixing Valve).jpg

    The photos below refer to the LK550 Mixing Valve on my trailer.

    Unlike the TMV, on the LK550 the fresh (cold) water enters from the bottom of the TMV to mix with the hot water flowing from the Alde tank through the left side of the TMV ("HOT IN" label in photo below), and then the temperature adjusted mixture of the two exits via the right side of the TMV ("HOT OUT" label in the photo below) and continues on from there to the sink and shower valves.

    I previously labeled the flow (of all the water lines) inside my Alde compartment to remind me of the direction of flow. However, I now see that instead of labeling the right side "HOT OUT", I should have labeled it "MIXTURE OUT", although it is "hot/warm" water.

    I did some quick research regarding the labeling on the LK550 body and located the following info:

    Arrows on the valve body indicate the direction of the flow.
    KV = incoming cold water
    VV = incoming hot water
    BV = outgoing warm water

    Additionally, the right side of the valve body is situated slightly higher than the left, possibly to help direct the cold incoming water flow upward and to the right to mix with the Alde hot water as the two exit through the right side of the valve.

    I included the third photo simply to depict the blue PEX (fresh/cold "IN") water line, which leads to the lower entry point of the mixing valve.

    @Bayliss and @MuttonChops are onto something. The LK550 and the newer Alde Speedfit valve differ in where the hot and cold lines connect. See here straight from Alde https://en.alde.se/service-support/tips-and-advice/alde-thermostatic-mixing-valve-tmv-how-to-fit/

    and compare the picture in the post above.

    @Bayliss , good we agree . . . . you are most likely correct the difference in Cold Input Locations between the two TMV was what we missed.

    @MuttonChops @Bayliss @Grumpy_G wow 🤯, I was wondering that myself but, like @Bayliss, I looked at the photos of the older valve and thought to myself that it was probably right. However, it kept bothering me seeing the C side connected to the hot water line. I would not want to mess with that, so my question to you all is: would Camping world be able to correct this or do you guys think I should take it to the Nucamp dealer? Camping world is half the distance.
    anyway, amazing team! 👏

    Neither, unless you want to be without the trailer for weeks or months. Try to find a mobile RV tech who can fix it in less than an hour (+travel time). Or maybe you know somebody mechanically inclined, all that is needed is to switch the line at the bottom with the one on the right, the push connect are really easy to use.

    True, do expect some new tubing and maybe an elbow, connector, whatever will be needed to correctly route the lines. If a mobile tech is used . . . send them some pictures of what is needed so they bring the correct mix of fitting/pipe.

    A couple of years ago, there were mixing valves that came installed "backwards" from the factory. (Hot attached to cold, etc). I know this happened over on the FB pages, and I'm certain it was brought up in the Forum, but I cannot find the post.
