Blu-Ray player on 12V

The back of my home Blu-Ray player has a 12V power input, so I carefully stripped an area on the power cord before the 110V outlet and spliced a 12V male RV plug in.  plugged the RV male into the RV outlet above the sink; put a HDMI cable from the Blu-Ray player directly to the TV; plugged in my headphones to the TV and watched "The Omega Man" in Blu-Ray!  It's not pretty, but works like a charm.

Will take some pics this weekend and post.  MUCH better sound and picture than anything played on the stock Jensen unit.

Someone in the forum out a nice little under cabinet mounted shelf for their satelite receiver right in front of that outlet and it turned out to be a very tidy looking set-up.

The problem with that arrangement would be the HDMI cord going directly from the player to the TV.  My current plan is to simply install a 12V female on the wood panel next to the fuse box under the left seating area.  This way the HDMI cord and power cord stay in the same general area near the TV.
