Travel hammock?

My DH will be having a birthday around the time our T@B arrives, and I'm thinking a camping hammock might be a nice present for him (since our SUV will no longer be stuffed with tent camping gear!) Can anyone recommend a good one - standalone please, not the kind you have to hang from trees.

There is quite a large selection of them at Walmart.com or at Camping World. The HobbiT@B, 2015-L, towed by a2014 RAM C/V

I bought this one at the end of fall so I haven't had the chance to use it, yet. A friend recommended it to me and it has 5/5 start ratings total of 158 ratings) on Amazon.

I know you're looking for a stand-alone but for those thinking of one strung between trees, I've been in two National Parks that didn't allow them. Tree damage was the explanation.

I was thinking of this kind of deal - anyone have any experience with these? http://www.amazon.com/Guide-Gear-Portable-Folding-Hammock/dp/B003DQ2YIY/ref=sr_1_10?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1452711852&sr=1-10&keywords=HammockJohn and Henrietta, Late 2016 T@B S Max in Western New York

We bought our folding hammock from Walmart. It is self contained with a sun shade folds up to about 6"x6"x48" it is a little heavy but comes in its own storage bag. They are in the camping department.

I bought mine when I still had my Jeep and could tie one end to the Jeep and another end to something else. If we were inventive, we would find a way to tie the other to a mount on the T@b. You could also get something that goes into the TV hitch receiver.PXLated said:I know you're looking for a stand-alone but for those thinking of one strung between trees, I've been in two National Parks that didn't allow them. Never been a hammock guy - for some reason I just don't like them.

I would love an outdoor couch, which if course is not feasible.

We have a full size rope hammock that is very comfy but the steel stand is so heavy I can't schlep it in and out. Would love a lighter version if I could find one.John and Henrietta, Late 2016 T@B S Max in Western New York
