Television reception

Just purchased a 2008 T@B by Dutchman, has TV/DVD radio combo.  I cannot get any TV reception, have followed setup instructions for channel search, should be able to pick up local channels. There is a coax cable in the antenna spot, have no idea where it goes or what it is connected to, there is no other cable connection that I can see. Any help would be appreciated.   Thanks

Could you add where you're trying this - your driveway so you know there are channels or out in the boonies? - Are you hooked to your house cable connection or trying it thru an antenna?
Hopefully someone can then help troubleshoot.

'The coax spot" - where? Outside of the T@b or at the TV?

You'll need the coax to connect to an antenna (or cable). The Tab (newer anyway) has an outdoor coax connector for an antenna.

Moondance, Most of the campgrounds I go to do not have cable and I am usually not in one place long enough to justify setting up an outdoor antenna. So, I use an indoor antenna connected to the Television inside. I can usually pick up most of the available stations by moving the antenna around inside my Outback. If you decide to try an inside antenna, I would suggest you get an amplified antenna. They are available at Walmart, SAMs, Amazon, etc. for $20 to $40.

I use a set of flat rabbit ears with a coax connector, and can get all the local channels. Just a thought!

Does anyone know if the T@b coaxial is wired so an external antennae with built in 12volt  works or do I need to purchase one with a power adapter. thanks
