Hello everyone! My wife and I have been dreaming about purchasing a T@B for awhile now and we're getting fairly close to pulling the trigger. I've had this forum and the LG forum before bookmarked on my ipad for awhile now and have been impressed with the flow of information, peoples willingness to offer their opinion and the great sense of community. Like many of you, we've been tent campers and occasional back packers, and enjoy kayaking in our folbot and cycling. And while we've moved a couple of times with trailers, we've never owned a travel trailer. It's been a very interesting process deciding what we want and y'all have been extremely helpful in sharing your experiences. Many thanks.
Where we are in NW AR, it's a rare site to see a T@B on the road, although my first glimpse of 1 was a couple of years ago at Devils Den SP, just a little south of us. Beautiful place to camp and hike if you're in the neighborhood. Looking forward to seeing you on the road someday!

Good luck with your purchase. I suppose you can tell from my screen name that I'm also from the Natural State, near Mountain Home. I have friends who are at Devils Den this weekend, but they have a Casita rather than a T@B. I have them to thank for suggesting the T@B to me, however.
The T@B comes in many configurations with various features. I would just suggest that you decide which would fit your needs before making the purchase. Or, you could do as I did and just purchase what I found on the lot the day I went looking. Have to say, though, that I have not been disappointed and was lucky enough to get what I would have ended up purchasing if I had done months of research.

Well, I guess we weren't that close last July, but we finally did it, placed the order with Mike Fugate at Trucks & Stuff in Tulsa, for a Q model, Outback Edition! We're pretty stoked!
Mike said orders are taking 10 to 12 weeks so we're thinking April sometime. We went with the quickstart level and upgraded the furnace to the alde system and added the front window. Took longer than we'd thought to get here, but we ended up having to make some water and sewer repairs at the house this fall that wiped out the driveway for awhile, yadda-yadda, life intervened but we got there and now will have a place to park her when we get her home. Haven't figured out a name but I'm sure it will come to us. By the way, Mike was fine with $500 down, which a number of folks have noted is pretty standard.
Looking forward to this new camping adventure and hope to be seeing you on the road!
Great news. Congratulations! I'm sure you will enjoy it. Will take some time to figure things out, but the learning curve will stretch to infinity. I'm always learning something new or coming up with a new way to do things. This forum has been invaluable, as you have already learned. Those who have done tent camping have a bit of a head start. I had never done much myself. Having always lived in the country, I never had to go far if I wanted to camp, and my experience mainly involved throwing a blanket on the river bank and building a camp fire.
Have fun in Colorado. I just got back a couple weeks ago and already anxious to go again. I've been to the southeastern part of the state a couple of times and to Rocky Mountain National Park. Be glad to pass on any info I have on the area if you're interested.
Be safe.

I can't tel, you how many years our family went fishing on Lake Norfolk and I have the striper on my wall to prove it. Arkansas is a great state. I sure hope you enjoy traveling in your Outback, as much as I'm loving traveling in my T@B.
Be safe. Have fun.
