With the switches in the off position it appears my interior and porch light has residual current going in it and still puts out a dim light while on shore power is this normal are has anyone else notice this
With this limited information I would suspect that the shore power ground is faulty. A common error is the hot and ground side of the shore outlet is swapped or a similar error in the extension cord creating a condition often called "hot skin" in RVs. You could use a receptacle checker in a T@B outlet to investigate. If the outlets check faulty, the error may be in the shore power connection. This is quite a leap from the info provided - but possible. Also be aware that the phosphors in some LED elements have some persistence and will glow for a while after being powered. Have fun! Careful, too, if the problem is that the CG wiring is bad, causing campers with 'hot skin', as rfuss mentioned. This situation can cause dangerous shocks if you happen to be a conductor between a camper's electrified 'skin' and the earth. For example, touching a metal-bodied camper while standing barefoot on the ground.
Testing the outlet is a good idea at every campground.
Also, you'd be smart using a surge suppressor that has a built-in 'hot-ground' protector, like the Progressive brand ones do, to guard against it.

I installed a Prod Ind EMS-HW30C early on and it has detected bad power several times since. Campgrounds sometimes have marginal wiring that struggles when pushed to capacity. But that is another topic!
