Battery type

I have a 2016 T@B that came with a Interstate SRM-24 battery. For the Zamp solar unit, it asks what type of battery you have and defaults to the AGM type. Is this SRM-24 battery an AGM type or wet type? I need to set my solar to the correct type it says to avoid damage to the battery.

Lead acid type. Unless you request it from the dealer, they put in lead acid 99.99999% of the time.

They are wet in some way - it's a chemical reaction no matter if there is a gel or a mat-gel between the plates. But flooded lead acid where you have to add distilled water periodically to make sure the plates are covered, "yes, wet type". AGM and gels don't require this type of maintenance, thus, they are much more expensive for their size (plus I'm sure other marketing factors I'm not aware of!)

So, anyone have a Zamp solar system and have the battery type set to wet?

Here are the specs for the SRM-24.  Note the "W" for wet category.  I have the Zamp and selected "wet" with my dual purpose battery.

You are going to love the Zamp.  After the initial set-up, it is really maintenance-free.  Just may have to move it around during the day to catch the maximum amount of sun.

I've already used it. I have a 160 and left it set on the default AGM type. seemed to work fine, but needed to be sure about the setting. Just changed it to Wet. Thanks again.

Yep, once set (wet), it's pretty much set to go and maintenance free - plug-n-play.
