    @dragonsdofly while I’m sorry we missed you I’m excited that you are having such a great trip! Crown Point/Vista House is worth seeing! It was the very first official rest stop in the new cross country highway system.  When you’re there, on the lower level is a plaque commemorating the four families who donated the land for this State Park. My grandfathers’ name is one, and his daughter, my Aunt Julie, led the drive to make this plaque happen. A few years back. Safe travels!

    @Homebodyatheart, et al., thanks for the suggestions. We are exploring Cascade Locks at the moment. This river and surrounding valley are gorgeous! Mt. Hood, spectacular. Enjoying it all! And, we have deemed the husband relatively safe now as we have moved out of sasquatch habitat so plentiful in your beautiful state.

    What a fun breakfast yet again! When I turned the corner and saw a silver Tab with dragon claws on the back I laughed all the way into the parking lot! What a wonderful surprise to get to know them! I sure love our Tab family!

    Et al. We made a left turn at Moab, Utah after some serious jeeping. Even the kid was impressed. Will travel through Denver, Colorado, a first for us and on to Nebraska today. With a tail wind,  Dragons can really make time and miles!

    Et al. Today, Monday  August 19th, finds us back home and life returning to normal, the husband is back working, tomorrow school orientation begins and I'm working through a mountain of mail. We wanted to say a special thank you to everyone for your ever so generous hospitality and acceptance. If ever we get the chance, we will come back and visit again! Enjoyed breakfast so much and visiting the land of the sasquatch, it makes me determined to live long enough to make another visit. Perhaps more planned this time so more of the group can gather.
