Dale, these are great mods. Inspiration for winter projects. I might have to move our paper towel from 'over the sink' to 'under the sink'. Seems way more sensible there. (Then I'd need to fill the darn holes though) Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the info on the dome. Looks great and a good price. Can you comment on the 2 cargo racks attached to the front? That looks like a great idea.
I like that tongue rack idea too.. Also can't weld... Maybe another similar rack would only have to be bolted on... Then of course there is the tongue weight issue.. Is that the Outback that has that look? Well, all winter to dwell on it...

Quick question, I see a lot of people storing the black/grey water hose in a tube in the back, how are you attaching that? And is there drilling required?
So, I've been following with interest the modifications and upgrades that have been reported on this forum and have incorporated several (bed slats, tv mount used for swing away table) and have recently completed a set of cabinets for our T@B Max S. These mount above the existing cabinets in the rear.
I removed the two vertical maple pieces from the rear of the existing shelves above the windows on each side. They were screwed into the wall with two pocket screws on each side. I drilled pockets in the new shelving face frame to match the existing screws and also screwed the frame into the existing above-window shelves. The bottom of the new cabinet is 3/4" maple plywood. I drilled for five pocket screws and then screwed that into the top of the face frame of the existing rear cabinet. The new face frame is attached to the new cabinet bottom by five screws. Those screws run directly through the face frame into the 3/4" maple plywood. Those holes were filled. I then ran a bead of clear caulk between the top of the new face frame and the roof, attached the doors (the hinges are on the top so the doors swing up) and was finished.
Another feature we added: a pull out drawer beneath the bed slats. We keep the slats in place and do not use the fold up table the trailer came with. We made a 23"W x 32"L drawer with 24" soft close slides to keep our food (in bins). It pulls out 24" which is the width of the aisle in front of the kitchen counter. The soft close holds the drawer in place while traveling.
@dlud How deep is the cabinet and how high are the openings? Do you plan to use this for additional clothing storage or did you have something else in mind?

I love your idea to utilize the space above the rear cabinets. A wood structure was a little more involved and trying to match the wood would be difficult. So in order to take advantage of the space I went with a removable light weight wire shelf. I think I will also add a cargo net. Thanks for the inspiration.

Also a description of how you did some of the mods would be very helpful.

Did you have to do anything to raise the feet?
