Composting Toilet

Will do @alchemist!  Should be early next week for the install of the Airhead.  And yes, the standard toilet in the T@B is 13.5" tall (on top of the raised section of the floor) and the Airhead is 19.75".  So that's quite a difference!

Originally, the dealer was going to have my T@B done without the black tank (which would mean the floor wouldn't be raised), but in two years I will likely go back to Ireland and have to sell my T@B on, so I'd like to be able to put the normal toilet back in (or at least give the buyer the option as I know composting toilets aren't for everyone!).  So we decided just to have the toilet itself left off, and the black tank capped and water line capped for easy reversal.  Also - less factory modifications!

I was going to solve the height issue with a folding stepstool if needed.  Not the most elegant of solutions, but it should do for a while until I can think if I want to made a more permanent modification.

@HR_Taly after watching the videos and exploring it at length I would love to know what affect the fantastic fan has on the system. Like you so eloquently put it, we all use our Tab's differently. We elected not to have the AC installed and use our fantastic fan at night for cooling by exhausting the air to draw in cool air through the windows. I think in our case, it would create a problem for the exhaust of the composting system. Can't wait to see how this works for you. Love the pioneering spirit of Tab owners.

@dsatwork that was a good point I had not even thought of until I saw a video a few months back that I think the FitRV people did about theirs!  They accidentally got a backdraft once, but only when they ran the fan without any windows open.  Propping open just one window kept the fantastic fan (I upgraded to a MaxxAir fan, but the same) from pulling a backdraft through the toilet exhaust.

There's also the 360 Siphon vent top that people use on top of normal black tank exhaust vents to keep negative pressure from building up when driving down the road.  Not sure if I'll install one of these or not.  For $20 it might be worth the extra protection. https://www.amazon.com/Lippert-Components-389380-Holding-Siphon/dp/B01EXKU53E
