Kitchen sink water faucet replacements

I want to replace this faucet  which leaks very easily and the water barely  hits the sink, and runs along the counter Could others recommend a good replacement? Also, did you use shut off valves under the sink or just shut off the whole water system

@Leo34, while our search tool isn't the best, if you use one or two words, it is good enough. So, if you could search for kitchen faucet, I know you'll find a few conversations about how others have replaced their faucets. I still have my original, and I am terrible at plumbing, so I really can't help.

We used a bar faucet.

I don't know what your current faucet is, but many of us have solved the "aim" problem with a $7 swivel aerator available almost anywhere. It won't fix a leak, but it might improve things in the short term.

I went to Home Depot and found a replacement with a faucet fixture that extends out over the sink.  The swivel aerator is "ok" but not as effective as replacing the fixture with something that fits into the current holes and eliminates the problem entirely.

We did the same. They are also known as laundry faucets. The plus to this approach is that ours also extends so I can pull it out the front window and use it outside!

We have the same one that @RollingBnB used....they gave us the idea and love it. It's a real faucet too not like the plastic one that comes standard and adds about 5 lbs of tongue weight.
