Little green light on GFCI is out

Never saw this before - all of my 120v outlets are working but the little green light on the GFCI outlet inside the T@B is not on. The little red light does come on when I push the test button.
The outlet looks exactly like the the one in my kitchen and I'll replace it when we get home but it seems like a quirky kind of failure.
