replacing stabalizers with scissor jacks

Has anyone replaced the stabalizers with  scissor jacks?  Wonder if that is a problem lifting to level the 440. would the frame be able to support the lifted weight.  not trying to get it totally of the ground, just use them to level.

    I have replaced the rear stabilizers on my Outback 320.  I have used them to lift the camper up enough to get a BAL leveler under one of the tires (on mushy ground) with no issues.  I'm not sure if it would work with a 440 (or what model that is), but I don't see why not.

    Thanks pthomas 745 for finding and adding the link.  I noticed in the link that Mike sent a email to Pleasant valley/ NU Camp requesting their thoughts on adding the scissor jacks.  would be interested in their thoughts on adding to the 400.  Did not see a post from them.  Thanks again!

    Sorry for the newb question... What is the advantage of scissor jacks vs stabilizers?

    I have stabilizer jacks on the toy hauler. They are rated at 3000# a piece. The instructions specifically say NOT to use them as levelers. It can bend the frame. Always level with tires and jacks.

    ratkity,  After doing more research that is what I found also.  Should only be used for stabalizing.  I was under the misconception, that you could use them for leveling but find if not properly used and mounted, you can damage some frames.  We have noticed some of the lesser trailers on the market do not include them, probably to keep the cost down.
