Garage Opening Question

Hello All,
New to this forum and strongly considering buying a Tab320S. Any feedback would be appreciated on garage door height.
I really want to keep the Tab in the garage, but my opening is 83 inches, whereas the Tab website shows the exterior height as 89 inches.
Are there any tricks on how to solve this? Air out of tires? Can the trailer be tilted down in front if jack is up? Would anything at all work for 6 inches?
Thanks for any ideas!

Thanks. I'll study this.

Smaller diameter wheels and tires or wheels only seems to be about the only solution. Last time I checked garage door stretchers were out of stock on Amazon.

No, you just didn't see them next to the pole stretchers!

Agree with Dalehelman... I bought a pair of 12" tires mounted on rims at Harbor Freight. When it's time to put the T@B in storage for the winter I simply swap out wheels and back her in. Pretty simple and nice to have inside storage for our MN winters. Reverse process in the spring.2017 T@B Max-S, silver & silver, towed by a Titanium Silver 2018 Kia Sorento AWD V-6, Twin Cities MN

Thanks all. After researching this it looks as though I have small wheels and conversion or a garage modification in my future. I appreciate the comments.

@Dalehelman, 'Ya didn't look hard enough for the stretchers, they're right next to the trailer shrinkers!!!

My wife and I are anxiously awaiting delivery of our 2018 T@B 320 S and we have the same storage problem. Garage entrance gives us 83 3/4" of height to work with. So I have a couple of 12" rims from Harbor Freight waiting. Keeping my fingers crossed. Putting on smaller rims also gives me the opportunity to take my tires into Costco and get them balanced. Still amazed that they don't balance tires on new trailers!

When I built my three-bay, two-story garage, DW got me a t-shirt that said "Maybe I should get a back-up garage, just in case..."
So true. Even if I could get it in the door, there's no room at the inn for a T@B. However, if I ever get that back up garage, I'll be sure to outfit it with an 8' high opening.
Gotta' love those first world problems...2015 T@B Max S (320)

ScottG, When you build the new garage do what we did. We went with 9ft tall and 10ft wide. Sure glad we did, the 400 fits and the 8ft would not make it!

I just bought a T@B in July. My neighbor is a builder and he sent one of his framing guys over to my house. We removed 5 inches out the 12 inch header board at the top of my third bay garage door opening. This header board is not load bearing like the other two doors. I was within 2 inches clearance without having to modify the door itself or the tracks. I release air out of the tires, roll the T@B in and then refill the tires.Range Rover Sport HSE TV - Charlotte, NC

@TBullard I retrofitted our old one car garage the same way. I have exactly 91.5” clearance, my 320S is 90” and I haven’t hit the garage in two seasons! Good luck!2017 T@B 320 Max S silver and cherry red, L@dybug ("Bug" aka my esc@pe pod), TV 2015 Toyota Highlander aka Big Red
